
David Opeyemi Oke is Vice President of the World Trade Center Lagos and a seasoned development leader with nearly two decades of impact across Africa. His expertise spans policy development, trade and economic governance, youth empowerment, migration, and internet governance, driving initiatives in Uganda, Benin Republic, Sierra Leone, Liberia, DRC, Rwanda, Kenya, and Madagascar.
Previously Head of Trade Services at WTC Abuja, Opeyemi founded Equip Africa Integrated Development Initiative, served as Director General (Nigeria) for the Global Council for Promotion of International Trade (GCPIT), and led Badagry chamber of commerce as the Director General, playing a key role in the domestication of the AfCFTA Agreement.
Fondly called DOOKE, he convenes the Emerging African Leaders Summit and serves as Global President of the Club of Emerging Leaders for Africa (CELA), mentoring future change-makers. He holds a Doctorate in Management and International Development, is a chartered manager, and an alumnus of SPPG, ALINOV Fellowship, and Acumen Leadership Course. His career reflects a steadfast commitment to advancing regional integration, inclusive development, and visionary leadership across the continent.
